Model Railroad Design and Construction
Sunset West Productions designs and constructs miniature worlds for film and television productions as well as for homes, museums, theme parks and other tourist attractions. Our specialty is model railroads, however any miniature location is plausible from the mighty Sierra's to the California desert, from the streets of San Francisco to the castles of Europe, from the craters of the Moon to the mountains of Mars.

Not only do we design and construct the benchwork
and scenery, we also design and set up the lighting and sound for the whole
diorama. We can create anything you want from a small store window
display to a giant Hollywood sound stage size world.

Critique of your design:
We will do a check of your layout design and point out it's short comings and problem areas and make suggestions for improvement before you build. Key areas we look at are sidings, yards, bottlenecks, staging, overall design, theme, and ease of human interactivity. You may send us your plans via e-mail or post them on your website.
